Combining the stuttering rhythmic blasts of classic hardcore, the high-flying guitar chops of hotshot metal, and touches of prog atmospherics, Every Bridge Burned leaves no heavy stone unturned on AUN APRENDO. The jugular-tearing rant "I'm Down With Progress" rests easily next to the mysterious, keyboard-and-electronics-heavy "Transposition," while subtle tones creep into the choked, furious opening track, "12/21/12." It's a drop of water in a bucket of blood, however, as the overwhelming impression left by AUN APRENDO is that of a deadly serious band armed with considerable chops and the strength to use them. By the time "Un Memento" finishes up the album, you'll be gasping for breath.
